Meet Bean

Hi there, my name is Miss Bean, and I am a timid, gentle soul. I am quite the beauty and am the perfect size!  I also have a wonderful, caring son, Sprout, who I am bonded with and love very much.

I am very uncertain of loud noises and sudden movements. There is no aggression in me, just caution and apprehension. When I feel safe enough, I enjoy sitting down and receiving some pets.

I walk very nicely on the leash, but I am too nervous to be interested in treats right now.  The kind folks at FOHA are working hard to build up my courage and confidence, but I really need a nice, quiet place where my boy, Sprout, and I can feel safe.

Despite my shyness, if you are patient and gentle with me, I promise to repay you with a life filled with love and loyalty.

Because Sprout and I are a BONDED pair, we are looking for a loving family to adopt us together.  If you think you may be the family to help us become the confident, loving and devoted companions we were always meant to be, please fill out a no-obligation application to make an appointment to meet us.  Thank you for considering making us a part of your family.  Love, Miss Bean

While we wait for our forever family to find us, I would also hope to find a loving foster home for us since I’m Heartworm Positive.

As you may know, heartworm disease is a serious condition that can be fatal if left untreated. The treatment process can be stressful and uncomfortable, so it’s important that I have a calm and comfortable environment to recover in while also having the peace of mind that my boy, Sprout, is being cared for and closeby to me.

Please consider fostering us – FOHA will cover all my medical expenses and provide useful information to help with my recovery. Your love and care can make all the difference in my recovery and our future together.

Fostering a heartworm positive dog may require some extra care and attention, but it’s a rewarding experience knowing that you’ll be helping me get back to good health and preparing me and Sprout for our forever home.

Bean's Medical Information

I have heartworm and FOHA will cover my treatment until I am all better. I can come home with you in the meantime while I go through treatment and my adoption can be finalized once I have tested negative.
