Maine Coon mix, female, adult

I’m Kolla, and I’m a special girl who needs a special person. I was rescued from a feral colony years ago and then adopted to a home with my brother when I was a kitten. I was always a bit more shy and liked a quiet home. But when my family grew to include more cats, dogs, and children, it became far too active a home for me. My socialization seemed to regress, to the point that I would hiss or run away from people. Obviously this was no longer the right home for me. You see, adjusting to change can be hard for me, and, to be honest, I need a quiet home with someone who accepts that I’ll probably never be a lap cat. However, I do like to play, view the day from the screened in patio or high perch, eat soft treats (FOHA got me some much-needed dental work) and spend time with other quiet cats. I’ll need a cat-savvy adopter and patient person who will love me for me.

If you’re interested in adopting me or one of the other fabulous felines at FOHA, complete FOHA's online cat adoption application.

For more information about me, or about FOHA's adoption process, contact my volunteer friends at 703-385-0224 or adopt-a-cat@foha.org.
