Chewbacca's mom, Chili, came to FOHA this winter from a local high-kill shelter. Little did we know that within three weeks of her arrival, Chili would deliver a beautiful litter of puppies! Chewbacca’s siblings are Bogart, Moose, Topaz, and Leia (listed individually on the FOHA Web site). Chili is now happily living in her forever home, and her new family adores her.

Chewbacca says, “I’m the cutest of the litter and the most playful. When I find a stick, I start running so that the others will chase me. I’m a fast runner, so they have a hard time catching up with me. I like playing with my brothers and sister, but I want my very own forever family more than anything.”

“Here’s what the American Kennel Club says about my Airedale terrier half: ‘Courageous and protective; intelligent, pleasant and loyal; sensitive and responsive; can be obedience trained at a high level.’”

“Here’s what they say about my Chow half: ‘Naturally clean and easy to housebreak (actually, I’m already housebroken!); quiet and mannerly in the home, and an excellent watchdog.’”

This dog can only be adopted within the Washington D.C. metro area.
