Chubbs

Chubbs

Status: Inactive

Breed: Dachshund/Beagle mix

Gender: Male

Weight: 18

Age: 2 years and 6 months

Update from Chubbs:  I spent the last week with a FOHA volunteer and I was so good. I don’t chew or bark and in 3 days I was almost totally potty trained. I am playful but not demanding and walk easily on a leash. I like my naps and as a chill little guy, I don’t do well with young or overly energetic children. A bit particular about other dogs but happy to meet and greet! I like to ride in the car and be with my owner so come and meet me. It takes a moment to accept you but that is a moment well spent.

Hmm…I’m not sure how I got the name Chubbs for, to the contrary, I am actually a skinny little dude who would benefit from gaining a few pounds.  No problem -- we can work on that as you feed me tasty meals in the comforts of your home.  That said, ideally, the comforts of your home do not include children, for they make me a bit nervous.

Similarly, my small stature may belie the fact that I have an enormous personality.  As you pass by my kennel run, you will see that I am eager to get out and enjoy your company.  Short to medium distance walks are fine with me for, often, I would just as soon engage in snuggle time.  That said, at the risk of boasting, I am an expert snuggler.  I will curl up in your lap, wriggle with delight, and relish gentle pets and attention.

Hmm… it’s hard to believe that I have been at FOHA for several months, given my small size, adorable face, and delightful personality.  Well, life is fully of mysteries but, alas, this mystery can be solved when you come out to meet me, fall in love, and welcome me into your home.
