Age: 5 years and 3 months
When my owner recently passed away, I had nowhere else to go. Thankfully, FOHA came to my rescue. I was distraught and confused and adjusting to life in a kennel was, admittedly, a challenge. Can you blame me? I am not accustomed to concrete floors, concrete walls, and a wire cage. Instead, I am accustomed to a calm environment and tranquility, which would likely make me best suited for a home without small children.
The staff and volunteers at FOHA have been very kind to me and I am learning to adapt until I find my forever home. As evidenced in the photo below, when taking a walk, I am often adorned with a cute, pink dress with a daisy at the top. I love showing off my lovely attire which, as you can imagine, captures a lot of attention. After a leisurely stroll, I often roll onto my back and request belly rubs. Everyone is happy to oblige.
After a wonderful walk and glorious cuddle time, I really don’t want to go back to my kennel run. But I understand that this is temporary -- for my forever family will find me soon.
This dog can only be adopted within the Washington D.C. metro area.
Aileen is sponsored by Megan & Dave Marshall: Poncho was a great Chihuahua who was rescued by some wonderful humans. In his honor we would like to help another Chihuahua in need.
