Status: Up for Adoption

Breed: Redtick Coonhound

Gender: Male

Weight: 50

Age: 3 years and 2 months

Chance is a young Redtick hound who loves life and, at FOHA anyway, is quite loved in return.  Chance is just cresting puppyhood and learning how to be a grownup dog—albeit an exuberant one! He certainly retains his youthful energy and playfulness and loves to romp with his fellow canines, doing well with even very small dogs and doggedly (ha) trying to entice any of the canine persuasion who don’t seem interested in playing. If all else fails, he’s not above darting around the play yard on his own, ears flopping and smile wide. Chance’s enthusiasm seems immune to dampening!

Granted, don’t let Chance’s love for other dogs make you think he adores people any less. He loves to say hi and snuggle with people across the board, enjoying the diverse company he’s had the chance to meet at the number of dog adoption events he’s attended (including Super Pet Expo, where he took the exceptionally high-stimulation, high-intensity atmosphere quite in stride). He would love even more to find his forever home, so if you’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic, affectionate young hound, you just may have found your match in Chance! He is waiting eagerly for you to come to FOHA to meet him.

This dog can only be adopted within the Washington D.C. metro area.
