Raleigh (f.k.a. Ollie)

Status: Inactive

Breed: Dalmatian

Gender: Male

Weight: 69

Age: 4 years and 1 months

Raleigh (formerly known as Ollie) wears his heart on his sleeve both literally and figuratively (check out the heart on my shoulder)!  This striking boy came to FOHA with a bad knee that caused him pain and limited his mobility.  He’s recovered from corrective surgery and is looking for his forever home!  He’s been in foster for several months now, and what a difference they’ve made!  He’s lost weight and his foster mom reports that he is fully housebroken, great on the leash, and that he LOVES attention.  Now that his knee is better, he is an active boy who loves to run! Raleigh’s foster mom has helped him work on many of the typical Dalmatian “quirks” such as his enthusiastic love of food – especially treats (but he sits nicely for dinner) and stubbornness.  Raleigh can also be a bit sensitive to handling but his foster mom has been working with him on that.  While Raleigh has successfully lived with other dogs, he can be selective, so slow introductions are best.  He would be fine as an only dog.  Raleigh is looking for an experienced owner who will continue to provide him with consistent training. If you think Raleigh might be your new best friend, fill out an application today!

This dog can only be adopted within the Washington D.C. metro area.
