Helllllooooo! My name is Oscar and I don’t know why I’ve been here so long. Don’t you love my soft and silky red coat and cute smile? When I get excited, my tail goes really fast and the corners of my mouth turn up into a smile! Everyone who meets me says that I am the handsomest boy around! I recently went into a foster home and am having such a good time! I can sit and am house-trained. I love food and playing with my foster brother.

Oscar’s foster mom says that Oscar will do just about anything for a treat, so we know he is very trainable. Oscar likes to play and gets along well with other dogs.  He would do well with an experienced owner who can continue to work with him. Oscar is currently learning to walk a little better on the leash—he wants to go! Since coming into foster care, Oscar has settled in to a household routine and greets visitors well.  He is smart too--he learned to navigate stairs in less than 24 hours! He loves to go for car rides and is very well behaved in the car.

Oscar loves to be outdoors and to play and loves people and other dogs. Won’t you consider adopting Oscar into your family today?

Given that I have entered my golden years,  I am eligible for FOHA's Senior Care Program.  Inquiries can be directed to Rob Mock at robfoha@aol.com.

This dog can only be adopted within the Washington D.C. metro area.
