Saturday, June 1 - Noon to 2pm,  FOHA "KITTEN/PUPPY Baby Shower" at the Treasure Hound

  • IT'S KITTEN & PUPPY SEASON at Friends of Homeless Animals....and we NEED YOUR HELP!    
  • Come celebrate our 1st annual BABY SHOWER for our new incoming FOHA Babies who are looking for their new homes.   
  • FOHA Is in need of supplies to provide our fosters who care for these little guys!    We will be posting a "WISH LIST" shortly of the items FOHA needs.
  • FOHA Kittens/puppies will be available for adoption at the shop this day

About The Treasure Hound

The Treasure Hound is operated SOLEY to support Friends of Homeless Animals. We have many beautiful things - both new and used – with wonderful new treasures arriving daily.

Known as the BEST upscale resale shop in the metro area, the following treasures can be found daily:

Please think of the store when you are sorting through your closets, attics, and basements, and when you are ready to shop!    We are staffed by volunteers to keep our overhead low - so we have been able to make sizable donations to the shelter!

Every time we hear the cash register ring, we think of funding another dog's heartworm treatment, or fixing a kitty's broken leg, or the food we can feed a hungry puppy, or milk replacement for a tiny orphaned kitten. The Treasure Hound is a fun store and truly a win-win situation for everybody!

We are now located in Chantilly near the intersections of Rt. 50 and Rt. 28. We are easy to get to, and have expanded our hours, so do come out and shop with us.

Oh, and do tell all of your animal-loving friends where we are too. Thanks so much.

Volunteer Help Needed

Can you spare a few hours/day in your week to do valuable volunteer work that truly MAKES A DIFFERENCE to so many deserving dogs/cats?   If so, the Treasure Hound is looking for you.    In order to keep our overhead costs low to provide ALL profits directly to the animals, the Treasure Hound is seeking additional volunteers to staff our store.

If you would like to work with the public and help our animals, please consider volunteering some of your time at our store. For more information, please contact Debbie at 703-263-9073.

We also love junior, highschool age volunteers who need community service hours.

If you are a collector specializing in art, jewelry, china, crystal, antiques, artwork, clocks and you would consider donating some of your time to a worthy charitable no-kill organization, we'd love your valuable expertise to help us research many of the true "treasures" we are fortunate to acquire.    We want to ensure our animals reap the monetary benefits of such incredible, generous donations.   

Donations Wanted

The Treasure Hound resale shop accepts donations of new and quality, gently used merchandise with all the proceeds going directly to the care of our dogs and cats.  

While not all inclusive, some of the items our store can use are smaller-scale furniture, artwork, household decorative items, jewelry, antiques and collectibles, new or vintage linens, SEASONAL accessory and clothing items, books, movies, and, of course, pet supplies.

We CANNOT accept:

  • Electronics/TVs/Stereos
  • Aquariums
  • Baby furniture or equipment (strollers, car seats, etc)
  • Encyclopedia sets/Magazines/Cassette tapes/VHS Tapes
  • Children's toys/games/puzzles (unless new/unopened) 
  • Sports Equipment & Carrier Racks
  • Gym Equipment
  • Large furniture pieces & those broken, torn or soiled.
  • Any sharp objects including kitchen knives/cutlery/weapons
  • Any item with actual animal fur (to include clothing & accessories)   

Items MUST be clean, in working condition.  Clothing/linens must be clean & free from stains/tears.  Furniture must have all parts & be in good, saleable condition.   We do NOT have the resources to repair or fix any items of any kind..
